Transportation there is by air to Verona, Milan, Florence or Bologna and car or train to Mantova/Modena. Several excellent hotels are present.

One benefit of operating outside of the USA is he is not constrained by the implant size regulations of the FDA. (If anyone has any details regarding what limitations may exist in Italy, please comment.)  As of November 2009, the latest info here and here suggests that the only restrictions in Italy are that the patient must be at least 18 years of age, as well as a national registry for breast implant devices (which presently doesn't exist).
