Q: Do you realize how difficult it is to find info regarding larger implants, or even finding a like-minded surgeon? What's up with that? A: Yes, yes we do. The reasons seem to include a fairly conservative sense of aesthetics when it comes to breast augmentation. For other types of plastic surgery (eg, rhinoplasty), conservative changes makes a lot of sense. Pure speculation, but when it comes to breasts, some plastic surgeons have a somewhat rigid perspective of what "aesthetically pleasing" is. That, and it's doubtful that any plastic surgeon wants to be viewed by his peers (or by any official standards body) as some sort of cowboy bent on creating Frankenboobies. By fostering awareness both among women and the medical community, we hope to help all interested parties realize that there really is a demand for this. As such, it makes sense to be as informed as possible.
